- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- An effective, persuasive and engaging communicator who enjoys the variety of travelling and working in a different environment each day
- The desire to become a passionate advocate for the charity you represent
- A full driving licence and your own vehicle
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role such as Direct Sales, Customer Service or Field Sales is not essential
Hours, Salary & Benefits
Our venue fundraisers typically work between 10am and 6pm and are usually employed on a 40 hour per week contract working 5 days, including alternate weekends. Our venues are often busiest first thing in the morning, over lunchtime and later in the afternoon, so fundraisers need to be flexible in the hours they work and demonstrate commitment to reaching targets each week.
All our fundraisers are on permanent contracts, providing the security of regular income as well as fantastic benefits including health cash plan, death in service plan, shopping discounts and a personal pension. Our fundraisers are paid a basic wage, plus discretionary bonuses.
All uniform, campaign materials and equipment are provided – including an electronic tablet device. Fundraisers are entitled to 28 days annual leave which includes bank holidays. Accommodation will be provided if staying away (if the venue is over 75 miles from home) plus a contribution towards travel expenses.
As our fundraisers engage with the public on a daily basis, we need to ensure we recruit the best people with the right skills, experience and background to support our ambitions. All Fundraisers must undergo a basic criminal record check prior to joining the team.
Charity Link is an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
